Pastor David Carr came to Lenwood Community Church in July of 2004.  He is originally from southern California, however, moved several times during his younger years. He eventually graduated from high school in Lorenzo Texas were he would join the United States Air Force and served for 21 years.  While serving in the Air Force he attended the Village Missions Contenders Bible School in Everett Washington and served as the Associate Pastor of Elk Plain Community Church, in Spanaway Washington, for 2 years.

Serena was born and raised in the Arlington, Texas, where she and David met in 1984. They were married in 1986, and now have two sons: Christopher and Nicholas.

The entire family enjoys dirt biking in the desert, camping, and water sports such as swimming, water skiing, and just going to the beach. Serena loves ministry with children.

Pastor Dave's vision for ministry focuses on Strong Relationships.   This is a Strong Relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which is displayed in strong relationships among each other and in a mature Christian walk in our lives. Pastor Dave's favorite verse is:

1 Corinthians 1:27-31 -- "But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God — and righteousness and sanctification and redemption — that, as it is written, "He who glories, let him glory in the LORD."
